Employee discipline: To punish or improve?

It’s good to have rules. Especially when you’re running a workplace with many different people with different jobs and different personalities. Rules help keep employees in line, keep the business running smoothly, and deter employees from misconduct. However, as all employers know, having policies and procedures in place doesn’t eliminate misconduct completely.
