A criminal charge or conviction doesn’t necessarily spell the end of the employment relationship, even in positions with a high amount of trust and responsibility. What employees do when they’re not at work isn’t the business of the employer — usually. But when an employee is up to no good and it could potentially affect the employer, it could be a different story.
